milling with irb4400

Hello,
In our school workshop we want to work with a irb4400/m98a/s4c. The purpose is to do milling tasks in soft blockmaterial.
I am searching for a solution to have a stable data stream to the controller. If i am not mistaken i need a tool as a drip feeder to
continuous feed the controller because the controller can not hold a lot of data. I am planning to install a ethernetmodule in the controller.
I am looking for suggestions for a solution.
Any advise is welcome.
