Process Time Calculation
Dear Sir,
I have completed simulation on an industrial component on robotstudio. Now I want to optimize the cycle time. How can I vary process time with variation of speed. Please Guide me.
Thanks.

Dear Vasudeva
This is the program example of how to calculate the cycle time :
MODULE MainModule
........
VAR clock clk1
VAR num clk01
........
PROC main( )
........
........
rResetClk;
rStartClk;
........
........ (robot movement on 1 cycle)
.......
rStopClk;
rShowClkTime;
.......
ENDPROC
Local PROC rResetClk ( )
clk Reset clk1;
ENDPROC
Local PROC rStopClk ( )
clk Stop clk1;
ENDPROC
Local PROC rStartClk ( )
clk Start clk1;
ENDPROC
Local PROC rShowClkTime ( )
clk01 := clk Read (clk1);
TPWrite "Cycle Time Robot is = "
um := clk01;
ENDPROC
........
........
I hope this will help

I have tried various ways to calculate time with robostudio for my pallet wrapper equipment. But no luck with it. I need someone to help me here, please. allanjames2011-06-28 14:32:110 -
To make it virtual, you will need to make a virtual controller. The other commenter seems to think you already have a VC setup, or you are running on active equipment. But the way you are writing, it sounds to me like you are not running any active process. As to how to set up a VC, I don't remember. There are guides available on google, but not the most straight forward.0
