External axis IRC5 compact

Dear colleagues, I have an old IRC5- compact version controlling an IRB120 and want to know how to confirm if the IRC5 it is ready to connect an rotating external axis. Physically I have a connector but still not sure. Thanks.

    The Compact Controller cannot handle external axises. The connector on the controller is for Force Control feedback, not an external axis.
