[Help]add new type of robot with RS5.09
I want to know how to add new type of robot with RS5.09
For Example:
I have download the IRB6640_185/2.8 robot model and put it into follow path:"C:Program FilesABB Industrial ITRobotics ITRobotStudioABB LibraryRobots"(the model name:IRB6640_185_280__03.rslib).I also have changed the "MechunitLibraryMap.xml".I added follow code into this file:
<Mechunit type="6640_2.80_185" library="RobotsIRB6640_185_280__03.rslib"/>
<Mechunit type="ROB1_6640_2.80_185" library="RobotsIRB6640_185_280__03.rslib"/>
<Mechunit type="ROB2_6640_2.80_185" library="RobotsIRB6640_185_280__03.rslib"/>
<Mechunit type="ROB3_6640_2.80_185" library="RobotsIRB6640_185_280__03.rslib"/>
<Mechunit type="ROB4_6640_2.80_185" library="RobotsIRB6640_185_280__03.rslib"/>
Then i bulided a new irb6640-185/2.8 controller form RS.When i started this controller from RS5.09 the robot model didn't link with the system.It means that i only can find the controller in the system but can't find the model in this system.
Did any step i missing?What's the right way to link the model with controller?

Hi,
What you should do, is to upgrade to RS 5.10, there the 6640 models are included in the installation.
