Hi everybody, could you please confirm the compatibility of RobotStudio V5.6 with an IRB 2400 SC4+ M2000/BaseWare OS 4.0? Is there any compatibility link between RobotStudio versions and ABB robot Model? Thanks a lot0

Hi,
S4C+ is not supported by RobotStudio V5.6. This version works only with IRC5 systems!
Best regards.

As Tayssir says the RobotStudio 5.x generation is for IRC5 controllers.
There is a legacy product though - "RobotStudio 4.0" which is for S4C+ range. However that is sold as legacy spare parts and is priced as such (ie expensive).
However when it comes to the IRB 2400 there is a S4C+ version and a duplicate IRC5 version. Since RAPID is almost the same between the versions you could simulate an IRC5 IRB 2400 in RobotStudio 5.x and then take the RAPID modules and load them into an S4C+. Its not perfect, there are no guarantees, you will have to do touchup and changes, you should think safety first, run through any program really slow first time through etc, but it at least gives you a workaround.
